All the teacher brothers and sisters,
Today, on 19th August 2020, a delegation consisting top office bearers of central team of the GSTA held a meeting with Mr Udit Prakash Rai, the Director of Education, Delhi to formally welcome him and to discuss teachers' related following issues.
(1) Finding out suitable solutions for the below benchmark grading (as per 7th CPC) in the years 2016-17 and 2017-18 given by some heads of schools and approved by the reviewing authorities resulting in denial of MACP for thousands of teachers. The discussion took place over our previous representation (letter) of 10th August 2020. The direction about the same shall be issued very shortly including today itself for upgrading the Good grading to Very Good at District levels and whichever can't be done at District levels will be upgraded at Director level. It will pave the way for the grant of financial upgradation (MACP) that were pending owing to below benchmark gradings (Good) in 2016-17 and 2017-18.
(2) The issue of calling the teachers' whole strength to the schools amid covid 19 time was also discussed and the same reached to the conclusion that the presence of head of school is mandatory and teachers may be called to the schools whoever whenever they are required for school related activities. It's not necessary to call the teachers regularly till the protocol for covid 19 is in force.
All the meeting took place in a very amicable and healthy environment. He assured us that he will see every teacher related matter personally and try to find out the fittest solution of the same.
