We were receiving many inquiries about the Option to be exercised after MACP/Promotion is beneficial to employees. We made comprehensive study by making Arrears up to 10 years The employees who are getting MACP/Promotion after 1-1-16 can exercise one option out of 3 available options. The 3 Options are as follows :
- OPTION-1 : They can opt 7th CPC from 1-1-2016. There Pay will be fixed on 1-1-16 as per 7th CPC and again fixed on the applicable date of MACP/Promotion. If the employee have MACP/Promotion between 2-1-2016 to 30-06-2016, there annual increment will be in Jan., 2017 and employees whose MACP/Promotion is between 2-7-2016 to 31-12-2016, there next annual increment will be on 1-7-2017 (after getting normal increment in July, 2016 and increment on MACP). They will get all arrears of 7th CPC.
- OPTION-2 : They can opt the 7th CPC from the date of increment i.e. 1-7-2016 and they will not get the arrears upto June, 2016 and also their next increment after july, 16 increment will be in July, 17.
- OPTION-3 : They can opt the 7th CPC from the date of due date of MACP. In this case they will not get arrears upto their due date of MACP. If the employee have MACP/Promotion between 2-1-2016 to 30-06-2016, there annual increment will be in Jan., 2017 and employees whose MACP/Promotion is between 2-7-2016 to 31-12-2016, there next annual increment will be on 1-7-2017 (after getting normal increment in July, 2016 and increment on MACP)
As per our Study, Option-1 is more beneficial to the employees as they will all arrears and there is not much difference in Pay upto 10 years as calculated by us for 10 years.
