As you are aware that dengue is more prevalent in September, October and November. This year too there is a surge in the Dengue cases in Delhi which according to health experts is likely to peak in October; therefore, it is mandatory that the students arrive in the school fully covered. They are advised to wear Full Sleeves Shirt/Kurta, Trouser / Salwar, Full Legging/ Socks & Shoes.
All Heads of Govt., Gavt. Aided, Unaided Recognized, Delhi Cantonment Board, NDMe and MCD Schools are directed to take necessary preventive measures for Dengue. All the students should be allowed to wear any Full Sleeves Clothes to cover their body to save themselves from Mosquitoes bites in case they do not have uniform which covers their bodies completely.
This is in continuation to our circular No. DE.23 (386)/Sch.Br./2015/868 dated 03-07-2015 regarding guidelines for control of Dengue "Do's and Don'ts" (Copy enclosed). it is once again reiterated for all Heads of Schools to observe the guidelines and create awareness among the students and staff during the assembly.
Further, Directorate of Health Services, Govt. of NCT of Delhi had also forwarded an advisory about symptoms and its treatment for prevention and control of Dengue (Copy enclosed). The Nodal Teacher of School Health Scheme in case of Govt. Schools or any other teacher be designated as nodal teacher for ensuring that the advisory is complied with in true spirit under the guidance of HoS in all schools in Delhi.
This issues with the prior approval of the competent authority.
