(Excluding Lecturer-Painting/Commercial Art/Graphic Sculpture/Engineering Drawing/Music/Home Science/Domestic Science/Physical Education)
under the Directorate of Education, Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi

1.	Name of Post	:	LECTURER (All Subject) (Except Lecturer-Painting/Commercial Art/Graphic Sculpture/Engineering Drawing /Music/Home Science/Domestic Science/Physical Education)
2.	Number of Posts	:	Subject to the variation depending on workload
3.	Classification	:	Group ‘C’ Non-Gazetted, Non Ministerial (Group ‘B’ as per VI CPC)
4.	Pay Band & Grade pay/Pay Scale	:	Rs. 1640-2900 (Pre-Revised) and Rs. 6500-10500 (V CPC), PB-2 (Rs. 9300 – 34800) (Grade Pay Rs. 4800/-) as per 6 CPC
5.	Whether Selection Post or Non- Selection Post	:	Selection
6.	Age limit for direct recruits	:	36 years and below (Relaxable in case of windows, deserted wives, Government Servant and those teaching In Universities) Note : The age limit for direct recruitment will be relax in the case of SC/ST candidates and other special categories of persons in accordance with the general orders issued from time to time by the Central Government.
7.	Educational & other qualification required for direct recruits	:	Essential (a)   Master’s ( or its equivalent Oriental Degree in the case of PGT Sanskrit/Hindi) in the subject concerned from any recognized University. (b)   Degree/Diploma in Training/Education. “ Qualification mentioned at S.No. 2 above relaxable in the case of candidates : (i)                  Having obtained Ph.D Degree in the subject concerned from a recognized University/Institution; or (ii)                Having obtained First Division in Higher Secondary, Degree and Post Graduate Examination with the mandatory condition that the candidate will acquire the B.Ed./B.T. qualification within a period not exceeding three years from the date of his joining the service. Desirable : 3 years, experience of teaching in a College/Higher Secondary School/High School in the Subject concerned. Note : Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the competent authority for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
8.	Whether age & educational qualifications prescribed for direct recruits will apply in case of Promotees	:	Age : No Education Qualification to the extent mentioned in Column No. 12.
9.	Period of Probation, if any	:	02 Years.
10.	Method of recruitment, whether by direct recruitment or by promotion or by deputation/absorption & %  of vacancies to be filled by various methods	:	1.       By Promotion -75% failing which by direct recruitment 2.       By Direct recruitment – 25%
11.	In case of recruitment by promotion/deputation/absorption, grades from which promotion/deputation/absorption to be made	:	1.       TGT in the scale of Rs. 1400-2600/- (Pre-revised) possessing Post Graduate Diploma of 2 years duration in Science from Delhi University with 5 years regular service in the Grade. OR TGTs/Language Teachers in the Scale of Rs. 1400-2600/- (Pre-revised) possessing qualification presecribed for direct recruitment and with 5 years regular service in the grade. 2.       For the Post of Lecturer in Hindi, Sanskrit, Punjabi etc. only Trained Graduate Teachers/ Language Teachers in Sanskrit and in Modern Indian Language concerned will be considered for promotion in their respective subjects. For the Post of Lecturer in other subjects only Trained Graduate Teachers (Science ‘A’, Science ‘B’, Commerce, Agriculture and General) will be considered
